Emergency
Support for the Mayo Pediatric Center in Sudan with Emergency
In 2005 EMERGENCY opened the Pediatric Center in the Mayo refugee camp, a few kilometers from the capital Khartoum, to offer free care to children up to 14 years of age. In the same year, EMERGENCY started building a Regional Cardiac Surgery Center in Khartoum. In the region the need for cardiac surgery is urgent and the rheumatic disease remains one of the main causes of death, despite being predictable and easily treatable. Area Performance contributes to the expenses necessary to maintain the field.
The journal of pediatrics of Lucca
The collaboration with the pediatric department of Lucca has made it possible to create a path dedicated to “informed awareness”, already started between 2004 and 2007 with the Gugo and Guga books of the Genovese Studio. A very current theme in the modern clinic and even more particular given the small age of the public to which the department is dedicated.
Thus was born the idea of creating educational comics to be distributed for free in the department, supported by the International School of Comics.

Support for Dynamo Camp
Dynamo Camp is the first Recreational Therapy Camp in Italy, free of charge for children from 7 to 17 years with serious and chronic diseases in therapy or in the post-hospitalization period. The Omo Dynamo is located in Limestre in the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, in a splendid WWF-affiliated oasis, where children have the opportunity to spend a period of fun and carefree experiencing numerous activities in contact with nature and animals, in a protected environment where maximum safety is always guaranteed by excellent medical assistance and constant supervision by qualified personnel. Area Performance contributed to the activities of Dynamo Camp through the Dynamo Art Factory program.
